Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground beef 80/20 Juicy and flavorful
  • 4 slices Bacon Cooked until crispy
  • ½ cup Shredded cheddar cheese Sharp cheddar preferred
  • ¼ cup Ranch dressing Base for sauce
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder Adds aroma
  • 1 pinch Salt and black pepper To taste
  • 4 Burger buns Lightly toasted

Equipment

  • 1 Grill or Skillet For cooking burgers
  • 1 Mixing bowl For making crack sauce
  • 1 Spatula To flip patties
  • 1 Tongs For handling bacon
  • 1 Meat thermometer To check cooking temp for burgers

Method

  1. Cook the bacon until crispy, then crumble it and set aside.
  2. Make the crack sauce by mixing ranch dressing, shredded cheddar, and bacon bits in a small bowl.
  3. Form beef patties and season them with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. Preheat grill or skillet to medium-high heat. Cook patties for about 4–5 minutes per side, or until the cooking temp for burgers reaches 160°F.
  5. Add cheese slices on top of the patties in the final minute of cooking to melt.
  6. Toast the burger buns lightly for extra flavor.
  7. Assemble the burgers: bottom bun, patty, crack sauce, lettuce, tomato, and top bun.
  8. Serve hot with fries, onion rings, or coleslaw.

Notes

For a spicy twist, add jalapeños or hot sauce to the ranch mix. You can also make chicken crack burgers using ground chicken instead of beef. Store leftover patties in an airtight container and reheat on low heat for best texture.
