- Soak peas – Wash and soak dried green peas overnight in water.
- Cook peas – Drain and pressure cook the peas with fresh water until soft but not mushy.
- Make masala – Heat oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds, onion, and sauté until golden brown.
- Add ginger garlic paste and prepare for 1 minute.
- Add tomatoes and all dry spices. Cook until oil separates.
- Mix peas – Add boiled peas into the masala. Stir and cook for 8–10 minutes.
- Adjust salt and garnish with fresh coriander.

- Fastest and most convenient way to cook peas.
- Takes 2–3 whistles after soaking.
- Set pressure cook for 12–15 minutes.
- Gives even cooking and saves time.
- Traditional style but takes longer, about 45–50 minutes.
- Best if you want a slow-cooked flavor.
