Ingredients
  

  • 500 g fish pieces king fish, pomfret, or mackerel
  • 2 tbsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 cup rava semolina
  • 2 tbsp rice flour
  • 3 tbsp oil for frying

Equipment

  • 1 Frying pan
  • 1 Mixing bowl
  • 1 Spatula

Method
 

  1. Clean and wash fish pieces. Pat dry.
  2. In a bowl, mix chili powder, turmeric, ginger-garlic paste, lemon juice, and salt.
  3. Coat fish pieces with this marinade. Rest for 10 minutes.
  4. Mix semolina and rice flour in a plate.
  5. Coat each marinated fish piece in this dry mix.
  6. Heat oil in a pan and shallow fry fish till golden brown and crisp on both sides.
  7. Serve hot with lemon wedges and onion rings.

Notes

  • Use fresh fish for best taste.
  • Adjust chili powder as per spice preference.
  • Serve with chutney or dal-chawal for a complete meal.
