Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb elbow macaroni
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 green bell pepper diced
  • 1 red bell pepper diced
  • 28 oz can crushed tomatoes
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp red chili flakes optional
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese optional
  • Fresh parsley chopped for garnish

Method
 

  1. Cook pasta: Boil macaroni in salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Cook beef: Heat olive oil in skillet, sauté onion and garlic until fragrant. Add ground beef and cook until browned.
  3. Add vegetables: Stir in bell peppers and cook 3–4 minutes until slightly softened.
  4. Prepare sauce: Add crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, Italian seasoning, paprika, salt, and pepper. Simmer 10 minutes.
  5. Combine pasta and sauce: Mix cooked macaroni with the sauce until fully coated.
  6. Serve: Garnish with parsley and sprinkle cheddar cheese if desired. Serve hot.

Notes

  • You can swap elbow macaroni with penne or rotini.
  • Adjust seasoning to taste.
  • For a lighter version, use lean beef or ground turkey.
